I worked with the Chase 360 for some time trying to get reasonable collective response out of it but it just wouldn't work. Aileron and elevator response was great. I finally found that the outer thrust bearing did not have clearance with the main grip which effectively locked up the thrust bearing. Aileron and elevator inputs would work in this condition because thrust bearing rotation can be exempted in favor of rotating the entire spindle shaft. I am happy to report that after grinding down the OD of the outer thrust bearing the collective works as it should. With this fixed I can now say that the overall flight characteristics of the Chase 360 are very good.
